ABOUT ME

The foundation for Stretching Forward comes from my strong belief that today matters and that our past is only part of what shapes our future. As I continue my own journey as a scholar of spirit and soul, my goal is to inspire women everywhere to rediscover their passion for life.

I began leading women's retreats in 2018, finding inspiration in every adventure, whether at Lakeside or via Zoom. After retiring from a rewarding nursing career, including 19 years as an RN educator, I developed Stretching Forward. The foundation for Stretching Forward retreats comes from my previous experience facilitating retreats for my church and hospital, combined with the valuable perspective and inspiration I gained as a retreat participant in a variety of retreat settings.

These retreats are for women who are ready to take time for themselves, to reflect on their lives, and look ahead at what life has yet to offer. As women, we often miss the opportunity to find time for ourselves, to evaluate our lives. Retreat is a chance for solitude, serenity, and grace, an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, embrace the lives we have, and learn new habits of celebration.

On a personal note, I’ve been married to my husband for over twenty-five years. We cherish our time with our five children, their spouses, and our eleven grandchildren. My life has been rooted in community service, with active volunteer roles in my community through PTA, scouting, and church. Covid did not stop my journey or my resolve to make every day count.

My personal mantra, “You will never be younger than you are today,”keeps me stretching forward every day. Now is the time to embrace your next step. Please join our mailing list by clicking on ‘CONTACT.’
